Clinical Research

NAVIGATE

The NCI and VA Interagency Group to Accelerate Trials Enrollment, or NAVIGATE, was launched in 2018 at 12 VA facilities across the country. VA’s involvement in NAVIGATE is managed through the Cooperative Studies Program (CSP) part of VA’s Office of Research and Development, which has a long history of running impactful clinical trials focused on Veterans’ health needs. NAVIGATE is designed to enhance the ability of veterans to participate in trials carried out through NCI’s National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) and the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). Industry-Sponsored Trials within VA

In 2017, AVAHO entered into a partnership with the National Association of Veterans' Research and Education Foundations (NAVREF) to facilitate the successful conduct of oncology research within VA. Through this partnership, AVAHO has acquired a part-time clinical trials facilitator whose role is to help industry sponsors interested in conducting multi-site trials within VA identify potential investigators and sites.
